Library

Library of Columbus comprises of books on selves and web-library linked with world class library. It has abundant number of books to borrow at home and study in library. The library is meant to be your ultimate search for knowledge, verify learning and confirm findings Every attempt has been made to develop CSC's library into an intellectual and social resource center of the college. It boasts of a wide collection of text/reference books, journals, dailies, periodicals, manuals, publications and other reading materials, designed to meet the diverse information needs of its students, teachers and office personnel.

Laboratories

At present, Columbus has three spacious well equipped Physics, Chemistry and Biology Labs. Upto thirty students can comfortably perform their lab test at a time.

Remedial Classes

Keeping in view of weak students, Columbus will run remedial classes so as to enable them to cope up difficult chapters. Parents/guardians will not be charged extra for it. Entire responsibilities will be of institution.

First Aid

Minor injuries and emergency situation at first hand is planned to treat at college. First Aid Kit and helping staff will be stand by round the clock. It is not only matter of treatment but matter of sense of security. The institution is well aware of physical, emotional and intellectual well-being of each students, faculty and staff.

Hostel

Making hostel second home is basic ethic of Columbus. Hostel facilities will comprise both learning environment aided by teachers at times of need and recreational facilities like: outing at weekends, games and sports, TV lounge etc. It will follow food menu as per the recommendation of Dieticians.

Transportation

College provides transport facilities in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur Districts.

Teaching Methodology

Columbus has adopted advanced teaching and learning methodology like group discussions, seminars, case studies, project work, presentations and internship in addition to lecture method of teaching. Columbus facultys' years old experience and vigor to make each individual student eager and working is base of pedagogy. It will assist the student to get a deep insight into new and unfamiliar concepts. Each student gets enough time and space to grow and acquire knowledge in various ways.

Games & Sports

A healthy mind dwells in a healthy body. Sports is equally necessary. Columbus is always with sportsmanship spirit. On the premises, Table Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton and other indoor games are accommodated. Besides, students will be encouraged to participate in different intra and inter-colleges tournaments and competitions. It will be aimed not only to brush up skills and win the medals but also to develop friendly relationships.

Extra-Curricular

Extra Curricular Activities will be basically guided by the philosophy of an individual's all round development to test, to sharp their skills and to build confidence so as to nurture them a socially vibrant person. ECA will comprise: Games, Spotrs, Quiz Contest, Art competitions, Elocutions, Musical competitions, Cultural competitions like- songs and dance, Socially Motivated programs like- environmental awareness and preservation campaign, campaign against gender and caste traditions etc.

Student Counseling

Columbus is very serious about the pre and post adolescent behavior. College has an expert in dealing with behavior modification, learning enhancement, memory empowering, developing skills in inter-personal relationships, carrier guidance and testing their caliber. The councilor will solve each individual students' problems letting them to ventilate their stress, giving them enough time to shape their patterns of personality traits and creating profiles.

It is normal for difficulties to arise in response to the more demanding and varied learning tasks required in a college with such distinctive features. To deal with problems faced by the students in relation to the choice of subjects, career goals, adjustments to the environment, learning deficiencies, lack of concentration, procrastination, exam anxiety and poor time management, the college offers competent counseling services to the enrolled students as well as aspiring candidates on an individual or group basis.
